New natures. Changing nature. Beyond restoration. Non analogue ecosystems. Novel ecosystems. These themes have emerged in my work over the last decade and are now front and centre in my work on understanding how we intervene responsibly in ecosystems experiencing rapid change. 

I helped lead an international collaboration to provide the first comprehensive synthesis novel ecosystems. I am working on a sequel to Nature By Design, with the working title, Changing Nature.
